What inspired you to pursue social media?
“I was inspired by my mom and dad, who are both in the media. My mom was a good speaker and my dad was into video production. They are my first inspirations.”
How have your social media feeds evolved over time? Any specific turning points?
“I keep learning and evolving. I cannot say there has been a specific turning point, just a lot of hard work that continues.”
How do you decide which brands to partner with, and how do you ensure that your followers are receptive to sponsored content?
“Normally, Socialize chooses the client for me and that helps me a lot. Once they make me aware of the brand, I work to tailor the perfect content that would benefit my followers.”
Is there a central message or theme that you hope people take away from your social media content?
“Yes, my message is always be you and only you, no matter whether people like it or not. If you like yourself, nothing will matter and nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams.”
What emerging marketing trends do you feel will shape the digital world in the next few years?
“I think most people right now are on Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube and some of them are on Twitter. But I feel in the coming years the focus will be on Snapchat.”
What’s the most challenging part of working in social media? And what advice would you give to those interested in building a following online?
“The negative comments will always come. Learn to ignore them and work like there is no tomorrow. Work hard, focus on your dreams and one day you will be at a point where the dream turns into reality.”
