After a wonderful 9-year journey, Omani designer Amal Al Raisi re-launched the line which began her career, Dar Al Aseel Saturday afternoon at the luxurious Al Bustan Palace in Muscat, Oman.
Presented by Mercedes-Benz, the enchanting event centered on a fashion show that was an ode to Coco Chanel and the shows she put on during the 20s in her home. The event opened with regional presenter, Rania Ali and then introduced designer Amal Al Raisi, who welcomed her guests and the show followed. With beautifully decorated tables graciously designed by Mooi Flowers,the guests were seated around the venue creating a circular shape that formed the runway. The models paraded around the atrium showcasing the Ramadan 2016 collection and guests were given an exclusive preview of seven traditional Omani dresses Amal designed which drew inspiration from the seven regions of Oman.
Adorned in unique pieces from Jawahir Oman Jewelry theaccessories only solidified Amal Al Raisi’s aim to unite fellow Omani’s in her quest to put Oman on the fashion map! Additionally, Amal gave guests a sneak peek at her new collaboration with Omani artist, Reem Al Suwaid as a selection of models wore their sheilas. Completing each look the talented team at Saharz Beauty Center worked their magic on the girls doing their hair and make up for the show.
A Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet was beautifully decorated with a flower design, which accentuated the collaboration giving guests that wow factor as they arrived. Entering the lobby they were then awed by with a 4 meter high flower installation by Mooi. To complete the ambience during the event, guests marveled at the arrangements of Lalique’s premium range of perfumes that were presented by Salalah Gallery only adding more luxury to the exclusive invite-only event.
Guests for the re-launch ranged from members of the Omani royal family, which included, Sayyeda Khawla, Julanda Al Said; Sayyeda Borda Al Said;and HH Dr. Basma Al Said and HE Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Admiral of the Royal Omani Navy to the movers and shakers of Oman.
